Apple Baked Brie

Are you ready to make the kind of snack and appetizer that will make YOU a star?

This Apple Baked Brie has been a hit with anyone who has ever tried it. And it is no ordinary brie either. The bacon apple jam is something you are going to make on its own at some point. I can pretty much guarantee it!

This delicious gluten free appetizer is perfect for a party or to just eat while making dinner (yes, I’ve done that)!

Is Apple Baked Brie a Good Appetizer?

Perfect party appetizer? Um, YES! The textural difference of having both the blended jam and the chunky reserved apples is next level!

Plus it makes for a nice presentation. If you have leftover jam (highly unlikely) it goes great on a gluten free English muffin in the morning! BONUS!

What Goes Well With Apple Baked Brie?

The sky is the limit with what you can dip into baked brie!

I like to dip apples and crackers. But honestly, pretty much anything goes with apple baked brie in my opinion! I even like to lather it up on gluten free bread!

Do You Eat The Skin Off Brie Cheese?

You certainly can! I usually don’t, but it is definitely edible. I normally don’t simply because I love the cheese part so much. But I have been known to eat it.

Should Brie Be Served Warm or Cold?

Definitely warm! You could certainly serve it cold, but I find that it is almost rubbery when cold.

When you warm it up, though, it gets soft and creamy. The perfect consistency to spread or dip into!

How To Make Apple Bacon Brie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large skillet over medium heat fry the bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from pan and drain off all fat except about 1 tablespoon.

Add in the diced apples, shallot, coffee, honey, salt, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Bring to a simmer and simmer just until the apples are soft.

Apple Bacon Brie

Transfer all but a few tablespoons worth to a blender and blend until smooth.

Slice the top off of the wheel of brie, top with prepared jam and place on a baking sheet or in a small baking dish. Bake 5-10 minutes until bubbly.

To serve, top the brie with the reserved apple bacon mixture and serve with some fresh sliced apples for dipping.
